Jen Ponton

Jen Ponton is the third brain behind PacKay productions, bringing her trademark bubbly charm and goofball comedy to the world of the PacKay characters.

A Jersey native and a comedic force, Jen is an actress who has served up laughs in both film and television. She is most commonly recognized for her work in the Emmy-nominated episode of 30 Rock, “Reaganing,” opposite Kelsey Grammer at a Carvel being swindled by the Best Friends Gang. She’s part of the recurring cast of Adult Swim’s The Heart, She Holler, a miniseries starring Patton Oswalt and Kristen Schaal.  She’s also appeared and guest starred on critically acclaimed dramas THE GOOD WIFE, BLUE BLOODS, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, THE SLAP, BELIEVE and LAW & ORDER: SVU. Jen’s work has appeared in multiple prestigious film festivals (Jack and Diane, Tribeca; King Kelly, SXSW), and she’s recently wrapped supporting roles in OCCUPY, TEXAS and ENCHANTMENTS. Jen’s first starring role is in LOVE ON THE RUN, directed by Ash Christian (Petunia). She stars as the guileless Franny, who’s suffering from a severe case of Stockholm syndrome as the hostage of hunky Rick (Steve Howey), while her dysfunctional family (Frances Fisher, Annaleigh Ashford) heads off in search of her. This dark road comedy, reminiscent of John Waters and The Big Lebowski, is now partnered for distribution and awaiting release.

Like most good New Jerseyans, Jen has never left. Raised as an only child in ultra-rural Warren County amongst corn, cows, and little else, she considers herself a country girl at heart, and her small-town nature is the perfect backdrop for her guileless, sunshiny underdog spirit.

Jen graduated with a BA in Theatre from Ramapo College of New Jersey and went on to work in New York and regional theatre. She recently tickled audiences and broke hearts off-Broadway in Halley Feiffer’s pitch-black play How to Make Friends and then Kill Them (Rattlestick Playwrights Theater). Favorite productions also include Psycho Beach Party (The Theater Project) and the original play Sea Story (Art House Productions).

Jen was introduced to Kay in 2008, and they soon learned that they shared a deep love for the work of Jim Henson and his empire. They mused and dreamed of creating the next stage of what he’d begun, and soon enough they were drafting scripts and crafting characters. Jen performs as Li’L Bunny as well as Jen in The Weirdos Next Door.

Jen married her college sweetheart and lives in the woods of NJ with him and their bunny rabbit, Pebbles. She is represented by Prestige Management and The Mine.
